When do Lollapalooza 2018 tickets go on sale?

Day of Lineup Announcement

March 25th

March 24th

March 22rd

March 21st

The table above shows the date tickets went on sale for Lollapalooza the last four years. As you can see it is incredibly consistent: late March. Here's how Lollapalooza work for tickets:

  1. A week or so before tickets go on sale Lollapalooza will announce via social media that tickets are going to go on sale the following week. I highly suggest either following Lollapalooza on some form of social media or if you register on Event Track and add Lollapalooza as an event you want to track we will email you when this happens.

  2. A week later 4-day tickets will go on sale in the morning. At this point there is no lineup. These will sell out within a couple of hours at most. If you want to buy four day passes to Lollapalooza 2018 you need to be online and ready to go this morning; this is your only chance to get Lollapalooza 2018 4 day GA passes. VIP and Platinum passes will also go on sale at this point but they will not sell out.

  3. The next morning the lineup for Lollapalooza 2018 will be released.

  4. A few hours later single day passes will go on sale. Typically these sell out within a few hours. For Lollapalooza 2017 Saturday sold out within a half hour or so while Sunday took almost a full day so it can vary, but ultimately they will sell out.

Any tips for getting Lollapalooza 2018 tickets?

First and most important is to be punctual - don't be even 5 minutes late or you are not getting tickets. Asides from that I highly recommend using multiple devices and having everyone in your group trying to purchase tickets. You can find our full guide on snagging Lollapalooza passes here.

Does Lollapalooza do a presale?

Negative - your only chance to buy passes is in late March as described above.

How much are Lollapalooza tickets going to cost me?

If Lollapalooza maintains the same prices for Lollapalooza 2018 the prices are as follows:

  • Lollapalooza four-day GA pass: $335 (plus $15 in fees)
  • Lollapalooza single-day GA pass: $120
  • Lollapalooza four-day VIP: $2,200
  • Lollapalooza single-day VIP: $650
  • Lollapalooza platinum passes $4,200

Lollapalooza kept the same prices for 2017 from 2016 so hopefully they do the same for Lollapalooza 2018.

When does the Lollapalooza 2018 lineup come out?

In case you are a skimmer and skipped the info above the lineup will be out in late March, the day after 4-day general admission passes go on sale. They release the daily lineups at this point because single day tickets go on sale later that same day.

When should I book a Lollapalooza hotel for 2018?

If you check out our Lollapalooza Hotels Page you can find all sorts of great information on Lollapalooza hotel prices based on historical information. The nice part with Lollapalooza being in such a big city is there is no shortage of hotels and there will be something for every budget. I still recommend booking early, especially if you want something within walking distance of Lollapalooza.
