Some of the most common questions that come up about Shaky Knees are about dates. When do Shaky Knees tickets go on sale? When is the presale? When is the schedule released? These are some of the most commonly asked questions about Shaky Knees and the goal of this article is to make you aware of every important date you need to know. I will start from the beginning of the year and move from there.
Perhaps the most anticipated date of the year for Shaky Knees fans is the announcement of the lineup. Shaky Knees generally announces their lineup in early January. This is a popular time for festival fans as Shaky Knees, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball and other festivals all release their lineups in this early January timeframe. Shaky Knees is usually one of the earlier festivals to release their lineup. For example, in 2017 Shaky Knees released their lineup on January 10th. Below you can see the dates Shaky Knees has released their lineups the last few years.

Like most festivals, Shaky Knees passes will go on sale with the announcement of the Shaky Knees lineup. In 2017 the tickets for Shaky Knees went on sale on January 10th and tickets went on sale this same day. Note that at this time only the three-day passes are available, single day passes go on sale at a later date.
As I mentioned, the first release of tickets are only for three-day general admission passes. Shaky Knees also offers single day passes, which typically go on sale in February. For 2017 Shaky Knees the single day passes went on sale on February 14th. At this point you could purchase a single day pass for any of the three days.
One of the most anticipated things once the lineup is announced are the set times. Some festivals, such as Coachella or EDC, wait until a couple of days before the festival to release the set times. Shaky Knees is a lot better than this as they typically give you the set times about three weeks in advance. For example, in 2016 the set times were released on April 14th and the festival began the second week of May. This at least gives you plenty of time to figure out who you want to see at Shaky Knees
Shaky Knees begins shipping 2-4 weeks prior to the festival. This generally means Shaky Knees begins shipping wristbands in mid to late April. It should be noted that if you have not received your wristband 72 hours prior to the start of Shaky Knees you should contact Front Gate Tickets at 888-515-SHOW (7469). Front Gate Tickets handles the tickets for Shaky Knees, so you need to go through them and not Shaky Knees.
Shaky Knees typically occurs early in May each year. Typically it is the second weekend of May, although in 2018 it was May 4th to May 6th.
Shaky Knees gives you an opportunity to purchase tickets in advanced at a nice discount each year. Typically held in November (although for Shaky Knees 2018 it was December), Shaky Knees has an early bird / presale for people willing to purchase passes before the lineup is released in January. You should sign up for their (or ours above) newsletter and you will get an email on when exactly the presale is happening. For Shaky Knees 2018 the early bird launched on December 6th, 2017. This is the cheapest opportunity all year to purchase Shaky Knees tickets, so if you definitely are going this is when you want to purchase passes. You can even use the payment plan at this time, so it’s a great time to snag those Shaky Knees wristbands.
